WebSphere Portal Consultants / Architects
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- Architect complex WebSphere Portal infrastructure solutions for our customers
- Installation, configuration, performance tuning and clustering of WebSphere Portal 5.x on Windows and AIX
- Integration of WebSphere Portal into the existing customer infrastructure
- Administration of WebSphere Portal: composition model and security (also using XML Access)
- Development of basic Portlet applications using WSAD/RAD and/or Bowstreet
- Present at technical conferences to demonstrate our technological leadership and expertise
- Create proposals and presentations
What we expect from you:
- Comprehensive knowledge and real world experience with WebSphere Portal and WAS 5.x - at least one year project experience with WebSphere Portal
- Good understanding of the components used in complex Portal projects (LDAP, RDBMS, authentication proxies, Lotus collaborative components)
Required 'soft' skills:
- Very good communication skills
- Good English language skills (German is desirable)
- University degree (BA, MBA, Masters) or comparable education
- IBM Certification
Portal Developers
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- Design and development of WebSphere Portal applications using WSAD/RAD and/or Bowstreet
- Implementation of RDBMS based Portlet applications using DB/2 and Oracle
- Development of multi-tier applications
- Integration of web content management systems
- Development of web services
- Implementation of themes and skins
What we expect from you:
- Real world experience in Portlet development - at least one year project experience in Portlet application design and development
- Good knowledge of WAS 5.x
- Profound knowledge in J2EE development
- Experience in the implementation of distributed applications (RMI, CORBA, webservices, MQ)
- Know and leverage Java patterns in your development (DAO, Command, Flyweight, etc)
